Our story

Learning belongs in everyday moments.

Little Learners at Home started with a simple idea: the best preschool classroom is the one you already have — your kitchen table, your backyard, your living room floor.

Why we exist

Parents want to give their little ones a great start. But between work, laundry, dinner, and the beautiful chaos of raising small humans, there's not much time left to hunt down activities, figure out what's age-appropriate, or prep elaborate crafts.

So we did the planning for you. Every activity here is designed the way a thoughtful preschool teacher would design it: simple supplies, clear steps, a clear learning goal — and room for your child to explore, get messy, and be delighted.

What we believe

  • Play is learning. Sorting pom-poms is math. Pretend cooking is literacy. We never make it feel like a lesson.
  • Ten minutes is plenty. Short, joyful bursts beat long, forced sessions every time.
  • Parents are the first teachers. You don't need a degree — you need a good plan and a little encouragement. You've got this.
  • Simple beats fancy. A cardboard box and some crayons can out-teach the fanciest toy on the shelf.
  • Every child is different. That's why plans flex around your child's age, interests, and energy.

How we map our curriculum

Every activity in our library is mapped to the Head Start Early Learning Outcomes Framework (ELOF) — the five developmental domains Head Start programs use to guide early learning: Approaches to Learning, Social and Emotional Development, Language and Literacy, Cognition, and Perceptual, Motor, and Physical Development. When your child plays here, you'll see exactly which developmental areas each activity builds.

An honest note: this mapping is a draft alignment, currently under review by Ms. Caitlyn, our credentialed teacher. It is our internal curriculum guide — not a certification, accreditation, endorsement, or approval by Head Start or any government body.
